With Germany leading 1-0 and edging towards the Euro 2016 semi-finals, the Bayern Munich centre-back gave away a penalty with a stupid handball and Leonardo Bonucci stepped up to pull Italy level.

Fortunately for Boateng, his blushes were spared as Germany scraped through to the semi-finals via a penalty shootout.
