Chris Smalling injured in Bali
A picture has emerged on social media that is unlikely to be received too well by new Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho.
Like many of the England players, Smalling has been very quite on social media since the shock humiliating exit at Euro 2016 at the hands of Iceland.
Smalling paid tribute to Ryan Giggs on his departure from Manchester United in his only Instagram update during the past week.
In addition, his girlfriend Sam Cooke has also not been active on Instagram over the past week.
But, the picture below looks pretty damning from Chris Smalling’s perspective.

The picture of Smalling which is now doing the rounds on social media, features the Manchester United and England defender with a neck brace on and a bandage on his head.
Smalling also has a bandage on his wrist.
Reports on Twitter suggest Smalling was involved in a surfing incident but this has not been confirmed.
Ahead of the new season, having played so well under Louis van Gaal, Chris Smalling was expected to be a key player for Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United.
United have signed Eric Bailly to fill in in defence whilst the future of Daley Blind remains uncertain.
