Germany made it through to the Euro 2016 semi-finals thanks to an incredible penalty shoot-out win over Italy.
Mesut Ozil’s opener was levelled up by a penalty from Leonardo Bonucci and over all it was a tough 120 minutes for both sides.
When it came to penalties, the result was simply incredible to watch.
Ozil & Schweinsteiger have nothing on Zaza!
Two of the finest sides in Europe and most experienced at penalty shoot-outs produced some terrible efforts
Amongst those which stand out were Mesut Ozil and Bastian Schweinsteiger for Germany.
Whilst Matteo Darmian also took a woeful spot kick for Italy.
No one compares to Simone Zaza though.
That Zaza run up…
Zaza replaced Chiellini on 121 minutes. Antonio Conte specifically threw on Zaza to take a penalty in the shoot-out.
In his defence, it can’t have been easy to take a penalty with his first shot in the match.
But, what ensued was a stunningly bad run-up followed by a terrible effort.
No wonder the internet is in hysterics and laughing hard at Simone Zaza.
It might take some time for the Juventus forward, linked with a move to England, to live this down.
